No Mission Too Big, No Challenge Too Complex.

Applied Aeronautics provides engineering, integration, and operational support for mission-specific UAS programs. We develop practical, cost-conscious system solutions and support deployment with training, mission planning, and ongoing technical assistance to ensure reliable, field-ready performance throughout the system lifecycle.

What We Can Do for You

Engineering Services

We provide in-house UAS engineering services for defense, research, and commercial applications, with a deliberate focus on affordability and practical deployment.

Core capabilities include custom fixed-wing and multirotor airframe design, modular payload integration, communications and datalink systems, avionics architecture, cable harness fabrication, and mission-specific mechanical and electrical assemblies. Design, prototyping, test, and low-rate production are completed in-house to maintain configuration control, shorten development cycles, and reduce cost.

Systems are engineered for reliability, serviceability, and cost-efficient manufacturing, enabling scalable production and field sustainment without unnecessary complexity. The result is mission-ready aircraft that meet operational requirements while staying economical to procure and operate.

BVLOS Services

We provide BVLOS integration and regulatory support, including end-to-end FAA waiver services.

We design and implement mission-specific BVLOS architectures, integrating Detect and Avoid systems such as radar, ADS-B, and ACAS, along with command and control links, redundancy, and ground control infrastructure. In parallel, we develop the operational safety cases, documentation, testing plans, and performance data required to support regulatory approval.

Our team prepares and manages Part 107 waiver packages, aligning system design with compliance requirements from the outset to streamline review and reduce program risk. The result is a complete, fieldable BVLOS capability that is both operationally practical and cost-efficient to deploy.

UAV Services and Repair

We maintain a structured quality control, service, and sustainment program to ensure long-term reliability of every Albatross UAS system.

Each aircraft completes a documented, multi-step inspection and functional test process prior to shipment, including airframe, avionics, propulsion, and communications validation. Systems are delivered with a comprehensive warranty and supported by a modular architecture that enables rapid in-field maintenance, component swaps, and minimal downtime.

Spare parts, repair kits, and replacement assemblies are stocked to support operational readiness and lifecycle sustainment.

For in-house service and repair, our technical team performs diagnostics, component replacement, reassembly, and full post-maintenance testing before return to service. The objective is predictable performance, fast turnaround, and low total cost of ownership across the life of the aircraft.

Training and Support

We provide structured UAS operator training, technical support, and documentation to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable system performance.

All ready-to-fly systems include onboarding instruction covering aircraft setup, ground control configuration, mission planning workflows, and routine maintenance procedures. Additional remote training sessions are available for advanced operations, payload integration, and mission-specific CONOPS, delivered worldwide.

Ongoing support includes direct access to engineering staff for troubleshooting, system configuration, mission planning optimization, and post-flight data review. A continuously updated online knowledge base provides technical documentation, FAQs, and video tutorials to enable self-service training and reduce downtime in the field.

“At Applied Aeronautics, we strive to be your one-stop shop for every UAV need—guiding our customers from concept to completion and beyond. By providing end-to-end services such as engineering support, Part 107 waiver assistance, maintenance, and training, we make sure you never have to navigate the skies alone.” – Meg Annand, COO of Applied Aeronautic
